Beauval 2026 New Features: What to Remember

  • Two new worlds in 2026: Beauval Zoo is expanding with “Les Terres Rouges” (The Red Lands), a vast Australian zone, and “Bucolia,” a giant educational farm.
  • Unique animals in France: Don’t miss the hairy-nosed wombats, visible for the first time in France, as well as the fascinating Tasmanian devils in the new Australian zone.
  • Children’s paradise: “Bucolia” will offer a huge 1500 m² aquatic play area (“Les Roches Vives”) in addition to meeting farm animals.
  • Enriched visitor experience: These additions transform the park into a complete stay destination, combining adventure, education, and relaxation for the whole family.

Heading to Australia with “The Red Lands” 🐨

Get your adventurer’s hat ready, because Beauval is transporting us to the other side of the world with an entirely new Australian zone. Named “Les Terres Rouges” (The Red Lands), this extension promises a spectacular immersion into the Australian bush. And believe us, it’s going to be magnificent!

A 2.5-hectare immersion into the Australian bush

This isn’t just an enclosure, it’s a real piece of Australia settling in Loir-et-Cher! Across 2.5 hectares, visitors can wander through the ochre landscapes and typical vegetation of the outback. The idea is to make us feel like we’re there, with viewpoints designed for optimal animal observation. We can’t wait to stroll through these new pathways!

Hairy-nosed wombats, unique stars in France!

This is THE big announcement that makes us quiver with impatience: the arrival of Southern hairy-nosed wombats! 🎉 These adorable marsupials, both cousins of the koala and small burrowing bears, will be visible for the very first time in France. It’s a true zoological event and an incredible exclusive for Beauval. We bet they’ll become the park’s new mascots!

Our explorer's tip 🧐
To observe wombats, choose times when the temperature is mild. They are mainly crepuscular animals. A visit in the late afternoon might just offer you an unforgettable spectacle!

Meeting Tasmanian devils and kangaroos

The wombats won’t be alone! “Les Terres Rouges” will also welcome the mysterious and fascinating Tasmanian devils, another striking exclusive. Of course, what would Australia be without its iconic red kangaroos and Bennett’s wallabies which will roam in semi-freedom in vast spaces. A real breath of exoticism! To properly prepare your road trip in the region, remember to include this essential stop.

Welcome to “Bucolia”, the new life-size educational farm 🚜

After the Australian adventure, it’s time for gentleness and poetry with “Bucolia,” the park’s new farm. Far from being a mere addition, it’s a true universe dedicated to reconnecting with nature and the animals of our countryside. It’s the perfect place for an enchanting break, especially if you’re experiencing the adventure of camping with family!

One hectare of gentleness to reconnect young and old with farm animals

Across an entire hectare, “Bucolia” has been designed as a bucolic stroll. You’ll find all the iconic farm animals there: goats, sheep, donkeys, cows, rabbits… The objective is clear: to offer a space for contact and education so that the youngest (and not-so-young!) can rediscover these animals in a soothing and respectful setting.

“Les Roches Vives”: the new water play area for children

The big surprise of “Bucolia” is its immense 1500 m² aquatic play area! 💦 Named “Les Roches Vives” (The Living Rocks), it will undoubtedly be the rallying point for families during hot summer days. Between geysers, fountains, and water games, it’s the dream place to cool off and have fun. An excellent reason to plan a full day at the park.

Beauval 2026: Beyond Animals, a New Visitor Experience

What’s great about these additions is that they don’t just expand the park. They deeply enrich the visitor experience. “Les Terres Rouges” brings a unique “exploration” and “exclusivity” dimension, while “Bucolia” offers a “relaxation” and “leisure” hub that might have been missing. Beauval no longer thinks of itself only as a zoo, but as a true stay destination, much like one would when visiting the nearby Loire Châteaux.

With a water play area and a farm where you can take your time, the park encourages slowing down and enjoying yourself. It’s an invitation to spend more than one day on site, and for that, it’s wise to look at options for staying at Beauval Zoo.
